Gold looks to test 1130. After closing above 1000 for several weeks, the four-digit round number has been decisively overcome. The risk for shorts is that gold jumps higher to 1200 some night and then goes to 1300.
Platinum had a good week while silver again lagged gold.

Bonds were higher today and the dollar was lower. People are beginning to whisper about the possibility of a worldwide rolling currency crisis. A currency crisis could start in Eastern Europe and drag down the Western European banks that made housing loans in Eastern Europe. Australia, Norway, and Israel have recently raised rates and these may be safer paper currencies.
