Shorting In IRA Account

Typically IRA accounts do not have margin, so they can not short stocks. These ETFs trade as stocks, so they will be accessible in an IRA account.

BOOM 31.94 up .79. Nice setup. Had sign of strength. Broke down channel June 02 and gapped up to 31 and 33. Came back to gap on lighter volume. Going to 34.62.
MED 16.35 down 4.55. Volume off the top. Do not buy.

BRIC Index

After emerging markets shake out, this might be useful.

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--As investors continue to expand their horizons into emerging market economies, Standard & Poor's announced Tuesday the launch of an index that tracks some of the largest companies from the so-called BRIC countries, Brazil, Russia, India and China.

The S&P BRIC 40 Index, which is calculated in U.S. dollar and euro terms, includes the largest and most liquid BRIC companies traded in international exchanges such as the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, the London Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

AMGN 66.82 down .62. Looks like a long.
SHLD 155.27 down 1.78. Is above a gap up, so hard to buy this here. In consolidation and can go a few dollars higher.
RIO 21.79 down .48. 2.5% dividend. Looks good as a long. Will be resistance at 24.39.

AVNR 6.21 down .79. Volume picking up.

INDU 11015 up 198. Strongest index because a couple days ago did not get below January low.
SPX 1256 up 26. Big price spread. Cash closed just below 200 day moving average. Tomorrow the future should jump the creek.
CCMP 2144 up 58. 2189 is January 3rd breakout.

Quadruple option expire tomorrow.
Market ARMS reading from this week says sold bottom was established.
The first retracement will be crucial.

NEM 50.51 up 1.92. Looks good.
NDX 1573.08 up 42.82. Watch how it goes through 1600, and watch the first retracement.
DNA 78.23 up .37. March 17 at 88 has high volume. Weekly looks nice.
AZK 2.53 up .19. Miner. NXG buying this out in hostile takeover, today buyout price would be 2.38. Tom owns.

PGR 27.01 up .62. Good looking, been building cause since January. 27.38 has tough time pushing through January 28 volume down day. Like this chart.

Gold 566.7. Down huge today. Did more than 1:1.618 on the way down. Correction is over. Bigger trend had volume at the top, so this is not the end of the move up. Set up to run for 1200.

SPX Yesterday hit low of 1235 with volume then recovered at end of day. That was a selling climax. Expect 1290 to 1295 then need light volume retest to prove this is a short term bottom.

SNR Does not look good. Not a buy here.
DROOY Hold.
HSR Rocket ship. Did what it should do on the long side.
FDX Hasn't tested yesterday low. Needs more work.
RIG 73.30 yesterday. May need to test 70. Consolidation up to 89.90.
CUP Volatile. Recent takeover news. Let it come back to breaout of 3.54 with lighter volume before buying.

Major indices closed lower, after big down day yesterday. Closed off the lows for the day. Light volume yesterday and today.
Metals down significantly.
Crude down .10, so holding price above 70 and 72.

BAP 28.20. Down 3% on average volume. Long term nice chart. Peru financial services and bank. Dividend 3.7%. Look to buy around 26.
CTCI Domestic telecom. Doesn't trade much. Under the radar.
HOC 43.01. Oil and gas. Last week all time high. Buy around 40.
ETP 44.48. 5.2% dividend. Oil and gas. Buy lower 40s.
VFC Near all time high.
PCAR 77.25 up .70. Has held up well.
PBJ Powershares food and beverage ETF.
GGY 35.10. 3.7% dividend. Very light daily volume. French oil technology.
EN 45.66 up .77. 12.7% dividend? Foreign utility in Italy, electricity and natural gas. Volume coming in last few weeks.
HOM Momentum play. Falling. Very oversold, still not a buy.
JSDA 10.31 up .31. Jones soda. Maybe buy at 9.50.

PTSC 1.37 up .35. Action. 1.61 is wide open then will need some time to build cause for move up. Breaks 2.25 with volume this year then can go much higher.
CIEN 4.65 up .16. Let it come back and watch the volume before buying around 4.30.
PMCS 9.98 down .17. Had volume at 13.77 in April. Buy around 9.47. Can go to 9.17.
AUY Wants to run back up.

SIGM 12.50 down .04. Not a long. Gave it up yesterday.
RGLD 28.50 up .41. Wants to go to 38.

BAP 29.59 up 2.09. 3% dividend. Broke out today.
